Daredevil: Born Again is set to bring back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in his own reboot show, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. Although the 18-episode series is bound to bring back characters from the Netflix version, Cox previously said that the reboot does not serve as the fourth season but rather as a “do-over.” While the Disney Plus series has yet to announce its official release date, a new report has risen on its specific filming schedule.

Daredevil: Born Again has been said to begin its filming sometime in February this year, and as it turns out, it is. According to @MarvelNewsHere on Twitter as well as on Mudgard Times, the Daredevil reboot is set to start filming on February 27th up to December 15th this year. Given this timeline, the necessary post-production editing, and the initial estimated release date, it is likely that the series will be released on time in spring 2024.
The most of what we know that will occur in the Daredevil reboot is that it will focus more on the dark origins of Matt Murdock, and as worded out by Cox himself, “like an old-school procedural show” where the series focuses on Murdock more as a lawyer rather than the Man Without Fear in his suit. The actor sheds light on how that would be an interesting reboot given that Daredevil’s suited up scenes would feel earned and not exhausted deliberately in each episode.
Also, given that the show is being produced and released under Disney Plus, despite its rating as TV-MA (for mature audience), Cox instinctively thinks that although it will still have dark elements, but “won’t be as gory.”
Daredevil: Born Again is set to be released on Disney+ in spring 2024, assuming the filming schedule from February 17 to December 15 won’t get delayed.
