DanMachi’s next installment is still over a season away, but it is being hyped up now with a new trailer. There, new DanMachi season 5 cast members were revealed who will join the show’s returning VAs.
Along with the cast, the trailer also shows off new footage featuring the new and returning cast members in action.
DanMachi Voice Cast Returns in Season 5
The DanMachi anime began with season 1 back in April 2015. It took four years, but the show finally returned with season 2 in July 2019.
Since then, the series has gotten two more seasons, with the fourth one being split into two halves.
All of the show’s seasons were animated by J.C.Staff, the studio behind One-Punch Man season 2 and Fairy Tail.
Along with the studio, the show’s voice cast has also stuck around throughout the seasons, and the fifth season is no exception.
Here are the confirmed returning VAs in season 5:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito in Sword Art Online) as Bell Cranell
- Inori Minase (Itsuki Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Hestia
- Shizuka Ishigami (Ikumi Mito in Food Wars!) as Syr Flova
- Maaya Uchida (Angel Devil in Chainsaw Man) as Liliruca Arde
- Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner Braun in Attack on Titan) as Welf Crozzo
- Chinatsu Akasaki (Kasumi Miwa in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Mikoto Yamato
- Haruka Chisuga (Shizuka Sakaki in Shirobako) as Sanjono Haruhime
- Saori Hayami (Yor Forger in Spy x Family) as Ryuu Lion
- Yoko Hikasa (Mio Akiyama in K-On!) as Freya

DanMachi Season 5 Reveals New Characters and Cast
Recently, a new trailer was released which shows off the show’s brand-new characters of the Freya Familia and puts the spotlight on their voice actors.
Here is the list of new characters in the upcoming season:
- Ryokan Koyanagi (Kenri Noogata in Medaka Box) as Ottar
- Taku Yashiro (Sanosuke Sagara in Rurouni Kenshin) as Allen Fromel
- Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shun Kaido in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) as Hedin Selland
- Yusuke Kobayashi (Senku Ishigami in Dr. Stone) as Hogni Ragnar
- Taichi Ichikawa (Twenty-Fifth Bam in Tower of God) as the Gulliver Brothers
- Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa in Golden Kamuy) as Horn
Technically, Ottar has appeared in previous seasons, though he is part of the Freya Familia, hence his VA being highlighted in the trailer.
