Usually, fairytales have damsels in distress that needs a prince to be saved. Everyone grew up with these stories that it becomes cliché.
This time, however, the damsel may be in distress but she needs no other person to save her in danger but herself in Netflix's Damsel.
And, if there's one thing about Millie Bobby Brown, it is that she reigned supreme on Netflix with her appearances on Stanger Things as everyone's beloved, Eleven, and the titular character in Enola Holmes and its sequel.
Now, Millie Bobby Brown is set to make another character hers as she stars in Netflix's Damsel where she will play Princess Elodie in the fantasy film arriving this year.

Damsel Release Date: When Will the Movie Come Out?
Netflix released a save the date video for the titles that are arriving on the streaming platform this year and that includes Damsel which will be coming out on October 13, 2023, starring Millie Bobby Brown as the titular character.
Looking fierce in her armor for the upcoming film on Netflix is Millie Bobby Brown as she plays Princess Elodie in Damsel, and it is previewed on Netflix's 2023 roster, making it one of the highly anticipated movies this year on the streaming platform!
Damsel Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Movie?
Other than Millie Bobby Brown who will bring Princess Elodie to life in Damsel are Nick Robinson as Prince Henry, Angela Bassett as Lady Bayford who will be the step-mother of Elodie, Robin Wright as Queen Isabelle, and Ray Winstone as the King of the place.
Brooke Carter and Shohreh Aghdashloo are also included in the cast of Damsel in undisclosed roles. There's also a fire-breathing dragon that banners the movie alongside Princess Elodie.

Damsel Crew: Who are the Creative Minds Behind the Scenes?
In 2020, it has been revealed that Millie Bobby Brown will star on yet another Netflix movie, Damsel, in which she is also set to be the executive producer of the fantasy film slated for a late 2023 release.
Damsel is to be directed by Oscar nominee Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, written by Dan Mazeau, and produced by Joe Roth, and Jeff Kirschenbaum, with the cinematography headed by Larry Fong, editing helmed by John Gilbert, and music by Jane Antonia Cornish.
The Netflix film, Damsel, is a production of PMCA Productions and Roth/ Kirschenbaum Films.
Damsel was first announced in 2020 with the director, producers, and writer attached to the film, and in November of the same year, it has been announced that Millie Bobby Brown will spearhead the cast alongside being the executive producer of the movie.
Damsel has a projected budget of $60 to $70 million dollars. Additional cast members were revealed in April 2022.
The filming started in February 2022 and ended in July of the same year, which took place in Tomar, within the Santarém district of Portugal.
Damsel Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Movie?
The official synopsis of Damsel is as follows:
"Damsel sees Brown as a dutiful, well, damsel, who agrees to marry a handsome prince — only to discover it was all a trap: The royal family recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. She’s then thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, relying solely on her wits and will to survive."
From the synopsis itself, it will be following Princess Elodie, the dutiful damsel, who is set to marry Prince Henry, only to discover that everything was a trap for her to be a sacrificial payment for a debt of the royal family.
The sacrifice, Elodie, gets thrown into a cave to face a fire-breathing dragon, and she would only have herself to lean on to be able to make it out alive.
Her wits and will would be her greatest armor but will that be enough to save her from the threat at hand?
Other than this synopsis, other plot details are yet to be disclosed by Netflix nor any of the people involved in the production of Damsel but as it nears its release, further updates are expected to arrive soon.
Where to Watch Damsel?
The movie, Damsel, will have an exclusive release on Netflix this October 13, 2023.
Netflix plans offers subscriptions depending on the inclusions, the number of people that could share the account, and the ads that comes with it.

Is There a Trailer for Damsel?
So far, a preview for Damsel has been included in the "Save The Date" video of Netflix for their 2023 roster.
In the preview, Millie Bobby Brown wears an intricate armor as she looks fierce being a repayment to an ancient threat, a fire-breathing dragon, that she would have to escape from.
Also seen in the preview are Angela Bassett who will play Lady Bayford, the step-mother of Elodie, and Robin Wright as the Queen of the kingdom.
With the release in late 2023, there is still no trailer for Damsel but the preview is enough to tease the fans on what is in store for the damsel in distress who would have no prince to save her.
She will lean on her wits and ways to be able to survive her ordeal.
