However, Chris was reportedly out of sight during Dakota’s special day. An unnamed source then told the magazine that the Coldplay frontman dumped the American actress just a few hours before her birthday dinner, saying:
“Just hours before the dinner, Chris texted her and said he wanted to take a break. It looked like they were really going to make it this time, but he got cold feet. The saddest part is that he did it over text.”
Dakota Johnson allegedly tried to hide her heartbreak in front of her mom, Melanie Griffith, and pals at dinner. As for the alleged cause of the breakup, the unidentified insider stated:
“Her friends think he just got nervous. When things become too series, like when she starts talking about having kids, that’s when he tends to panic. But all hope isn’t lost. Gwyneth [Paltrow, Chris’ ex], who adores Dakota, is trying to get them back together. If anyone can do it, it’s Gwyneth.”

Riley shared a video from the heartwarming tribute and wrote in the caption:
"@coldplay dedicated Yellow to my brother tonight at @wecansurvivela ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭 I wasn't ready for it but it was such a beautiful surprise," wrote Riley. "And me love you @dakotajohnson and credit and thank you to whoever captured this video 🙏."
