Daisy Ridley is set to make her Star Wars comeback in Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's New Jedi Order movie. She will reprise the role of Rey Skywalker in a story that is going to be set years after the events of the sequel trilogy.

The project is still in the development stages as writer Steven Knight is currently working on the screenplay. There were rumors that behind-the-scenes trouble was brewing, but Lucasfilm quickly shot it down.

So far, the New Jedi Order movie is the only project that Ridley is confirmed to make her upcoming return in the franchise.

However, it looks like she is already lining up to appear in another upcoming Star Wars movie that is also currently in the works according to a new report that has emerged.

According to a recent newsletter from reporter Jeff Sneider, Daisy Ridley is potentially involved in another Star Wars movie aside from the New Jedi Order project.

He heard from his sources that Ridley's character Rey Skywalker is also included in Shawn Levy's movie, which is still in the early development stages.

However, he didn't provide details on whether Ridley will also be the main star of the film or she will be a supporting player instead. Lucasfilm has also not commented on the claims that were made in the report.

Given that Levy is currently busy on Deadpool 3 and is also attached to other projects such as directing episodes of the final season of Stranger Things, his Star Wars project is still far ways off compared to the New Jedi Order movie, which is moving further along in its development.

If the report is true, it suggests that Ridley's Star Wars comeback won't just be a one-off and it is likely a full-time return in the franchise where she will make multiple appearances in films that require her character's presence.

It is also a sign that Levy's project will also be set in the post-sequel trilogy timeline and potentially it will be some time after the New Jedi Order movie if Rey is indeed part of the story that they're planning.

Since the project is still in very early stages, it might take a while before we'll hear a definitive new update on Levy's movie, but at least, we have some clue on the idea that they are cooking.
