Over a decade CL and her former bandmates in 2NE1 released I Am The Best, the K-pop group's former leader spoke about the once-unknown details about the track.

2NE1 released songs that defined the group and introduced K-pop to the world. Only two years after debuting under one of K-pop's Big 3, YG Entertainment, CL and the other members dropped I Am The Best during the rise of the Korean Wave.

Even after all these years, fans surely cannot forget the song's lyrics and tunes. But far from what they already saw on the track, CL gave her fans another fun fact about the song.

CL and her former bandmates in 2NE1 released “I Am The Best” in 2011.

To celebrate the release of her first full-length album, ALPHA, CL spared some of her time to speak with her fans during her countdown live event on TikTok.

On Wednesday, the K-pop idol unveiled the short versions of some of her unreleased songs and remix tunes she has been working on. Some of the tracks include Hello Bitches featuring M.I.A (which she revealed was supposed to be titled Asian Bitches), One and Only with Chris Brown, and Let It with Park Bom and Sandara Park.

During the same event, CL played 2NE1's I Am The Best featuring Justine Bieber, shocking their fans with how big their fandom was years ago.

After fans heard the collaboration, most of them assumed it would have been a bigger hit if that version of I Am The Best also debuted. Meanwhile, others suggested that they like how things were and how they are right now, saying that 2NE1 would still be the Queens regardless of their collaborations.

Will 2NE1 Make A Comeback?

Revealing the tracks sparked rumors that YG Entertainment's legendary group would reunite again soon. CL's move also resonated with what the other three members – Park Bom, Dara, and Minzy – hinted earlier this year.

In April, the trio had a radio guesting where Park Bom accidentally revealed that she and the other members of 2NE1 recorded a track for their 11th anniversary. The radio host was too shocked that she asked her if it was okay to announce that.

Although she said it was fine to talk about it, Park Bom also disclosed they do not know if it would ever be released. Still, BLACKJACKs are hopeful that they will surprise the public again with a performance like the one they offered during MAMA 2015.
