GOT7 Jinyoung will make his comeback to the Kdrama industry with the release of a new film titled Christmas Carol. On October 31, 12 image stills were unveiled to show a glimpse of what the upcoming film will be about, revealing different sides of Jinyoung as he portrays a difficult role.
Christmas Carol is an action thriller in which the older brother Il-Woo enters a juvenile detention center on his own to plot revenge after his twin brother Wol-Woo dies on a Christmas morning, also facing brutal situations as he gets on the bad side of a gang.
GOT7 Jinyoung Leads New Korean Film Christmas Carol
For the upcoming action thriller, GOT7 Jinyoung will play both of the Woo twins, Wol-Woo and Il-Woo, signaling another applaudable role in his filmography. As a means of seeking vengeance after Wol-Woo's death, Il-Woo voluntarily checks himself into a juvenile detention facility, where he gets into a violent altercation with a group of teenagers.
Jinyoung shows his chameleon-like nature as Wol-Woo and Il-Woo, and it is clear in the recently released image stills, as is the dramatic change in his appearance and demeanor that he goes through as the film gets darker and more sinister. Wol-Woo seems innocent but hides a secret that cannot be told to anyone, while Il-Woo has to get used to fighting for the sake of his grandmother and twin brother.

Christmas Carol Teases Impeccable Actors In New Image Stills
Kim Young Min will also star in the forthcoming film as Cho Soon Woo, who does everything he can to help Il-Woo accomplish his plans. Kim Dong Hwi will portray the character of Son Hwan, a member of a juvenile gang that conceals Wol-Woo’s identity from his peers.
On the other hand, Song Geon Hee will breathe life into the character of Moon Ja Hoon, a gang member who will stop at nothing just to get rid of Il-Woo. He is willing to do anything to accomplish his goal, no matter how sinister the process gets. Heo Dong Won plays the role of Han Hee Sang, a correctional teacher at the juvenile detention center who uses physical force as a means of maintaining order among the juvenile students.

Christmas Carol Release Date
The new Korean film Christmas Carol is expected to be released on December 2022. The film is an adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name, and it follows the narrative of a young man who infiltrates a juvenile detention facility after his twin brother is murdered.
Kim Sung-Soo, who most recently directed the suspense Kdrama Save Me, is in charge of being the director for Christmas Carol. The movie started filming late last year.
