There are only a few days left until Star Wars: The Mandalorian makes its debut on Disney+. Dave Filoni, who worked on both The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, will be directing the first episode of the highly-anticipated series. And since we're getting near the show's premiere, a new BTS photo from The Mandalorian just got released.
Vanity Fair spotlights Filoni in their new piece showing the director's journey on becoming one of the creative minds behind the Star Wars franchise. The outlet described him as the "Chosen One," as well as the "carrier of the creator's knowledge." Filoni is involved in the franchise in various ways, and now, another one gets added onto his list.
Along with a recap of Filoni's journey, the outlet also provided a BTS photo within their piece. The image shows the director giving instructions to lead star Pedro Pascal, who the outlet describes as "the masked anti-hero." You can check it out here.
A lot of people are surely ecstatic about the pilot since the first episode could set the stage for the storyline and the following episodes of the series. And since fans have always been fond of Filoni's work for the Star Wars franchise, there's more the reason for fans to watch the pilot and see his take on the bounty hunter's story.
Earlier this week, Vanity Fair also revealed Ming-Na Wen and Nick Nolte's characters in a new TV spot trailer. Details on Fennec Shand's character were also revealed prior to the series' premiere.
