Spider-Man: No Way Home has hidden so much until the premiere of the film and one of those is Charlie Cox returning for his role as Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, appearing for a cameo as the lawyer of Peter Parker after the whole world discovered his identity as Spider-Man. When Cox realized that his MCU debut is really happening, he knew right away who to give a call: Tom Hiddleston.

Known for his iconic role as Loki, Tom Hiddleston was considered by Cox as one of his best friends. As part of the MCU for more than a decade, Tom had one advice to Cox, nothing related to his acting, but something to ponder on. Cox shared this information in a chat with ComicBook.com and what happened was hilarious.

Cox shared that Hiddleston was one of the first people to know that he would be back as Daredevil, "One of my first phone calls, when I found out I was coming back, even though I was trying not to tell anyone, I was living in fear for two years of it being leaked, it was this big surprise. When I was on the set I was wearing the thing everywhere, blah, blah. One of my first phone calls, and I knew I could tell him because I also knew he knew, was Tom Hiddleston, he's one of my best friends."

At the same time, Hiddleston was filming his own series, Loki, and he knew some things about being a surprise character in MCU films, he gave an advice to Cox, "He said to me, and he was shooting Loki at the time, so he'd spoken to those guys, and he knew, and they knew we were friends, and all that stuff, so he knew about it. I spoke to him, and he said to me, 'Whatever you do, when the film comes out, you've got to sneak into the back of a theater, because it will go crazy.'”

Cox recalled shooting some scenes for the movie, "I didn't really believe it. When we were shooting the scene the creative decision was made, they were going to build in a moment for the fans to react before any lines were said. We had this shot with the cane, and then the camera comes around before I say anything. I remember them talking about it on set, and I'm like, 'I hope it's worth it, this is dead silent.'”

Cox also recounted how he did not attend the premiere and how he received news about the reaction of the people when his scene arrived, “Anyway, the movie's coming out, and obviously, I'm not at the premiere, because I'm a secret, all this stuff. But I have friends at the premiere who text me and called me, and they were like, 'Oh, my God, it was a huge reaction.'”

Charlie Cox is best known for his role as Matt Murdock in the Netflix series, Daredevil, where he faced the big bad, Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, who recently appeared in another Marvel project, Hawkeye, and it seems that the MCU is preparing for a reunion between the two knowing that both of them has deep roots against each other.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be out on digital sales and rental platforms on March 22, 2022. The film will be on Blu-ray and DVD on April 11.
