Charlie Cox Confirms Daredevil Return in Future MCU Project: "There Will Be Something Else"

One of the highlights of Spider-Man: No Way Home is the cameo appearance of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock. A lot of fans were delighted by his return as it means that Cox as the Man Without Fear is officially part of the MCU canon. Of course, the question now is when will the character make his next appearance on the MCU? There have been rumors and speculations that he will be appearing in shows like She-Hulk or his own solo show, but none of them have been confirmed so far. While we don't have the answers yet, Cox himself has assured us that we will be seeing him again soon.

In an interview with RadioTimes.com, Cox confirmed that he will be playing Matt Murdock/Daredevil again in a future MCU project although he didn't reveal which specific title it would be or the nature of his comeback. "I know something," he said. "I don't know much, but I know there will be something else."

He also shared how he got the call that he will be reprising the role again in No Way Home and his fear that his return might not actually materialize at all. "I got a phone call saying, 'Do you want to come back? Do you want to be in Spider-Man?' and I was like, 'Obviously, yeah! That would be amazing. I'm thrilled. I'd love to do that.'," he revealed. "They said 'Great, we'll be in touch.' and then I didn't hear anything for, like, two months! I did get to the point where I was like, 'Did I dream this?' – I definitely got to the point where I was, like, 'I don't know what's gonna happen.' But then I got a follow-up phone call."

It is great that we have a confirmation now from Cox himself that we will be seeing again in another MCU project soon. Right now, it is rumored that his next appearance will be in She-Hulk which would make sense since it is a legal show and Matt Murdock is, of course, a lawyer. There have also been rumors that Cox will be starring in another season of Daredevil which fans have been clamoring for ever since the cancellation of the Netflix series.

With Cox's No Way Home cameo and the appearance of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin in Hawkeye, it looks like the MCU is slowly starting to integrate some of the characters from the Netflix shows although it is still unknown if they are now officially considered as part of the MCU canon. Nevertheless, it is exciting to see them return again and it would be curious to see what direction they are going to take in the MCU.
