Spider-Man: No Way Home has got to be the only Marvel project that has kept the rumor mill spinning for months and of course, if you've been closely following the latest updates regarding the film, chances are you have an idea of what we're talking about. Many fans believe that the project will finally see the grand returns of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to the Marvel Universe but aside from the two Spidey actors, another beloved Marvel star is heavily rumored to be making a cameo in the sequel.

As early as last year, rumors have circulated all over social media that Daredevil star Charlie Cox is set to make his awaited debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some sources even claim that the actor was spotted on the set of the project but that was never proven. When No Way Home's trailer finally premiered last month, fans speculated that one of the faceless figures in the teaser was actually Matt Murdock himself but the actor quickly denied it.

Now, in a surprising turn of events, Cox is seemingly hinting that he's in fact part of the third MCU Spider-Man film but he doesn't want to give anything away. In an interview with Steve Varley (via The Direct), Cox revealed that anxiety is already starting to kick in as more and more people ask him about his rumored involvement in the film.

He said: "You know I also like... It makes... I don't. I wouldn't want to ruin something either way. Do you know what I mean? So, it makes me a little anxious in that regard, you know, because it's a difficult thing to talk about. You know all I would say, I guess everyone, myself included, is just gonna have to wait and see what happens."

Reading between the lines, it's almost safe to assume that Charlie could indeed pop up in Spider-Man: No Way Home judging by the way he's suddenly playing coy about stuff. Of course, we couldn't really blame the guy because Marvel Studios' level of secrecy when it comes to these films is pretty intense and in the event he lets something slip accidentally, it will definitely kill all the intrigue surrounding the project.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in cinemas on December 17, 2021.
