The wait for Chainsaw Man Part 2 is almost over. The second part of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga is finally coming in July and is set to be released ahead of the anime adaptation's premiere!
The official Chainsaw Man Twitter account had previously teased a major update that is coming on Monday, June 20. Initially, fans believed it would be an update on the recently announced one-shot manga that Fujimoto is working on with Toda Oto titled Listen to Futu. However, people were pleasantly surprised when the account officially confirmed that Chainsaw Man Part 2 will begin serialization on the Shonen Jump+ app.
This is great news considering that fans have been waiting for Chainsaw Man Part 2 for almost two years now. In addition to that, people were hoping to get started on the second part of the manga before MAPPA's anime adaptation of Part 1 is released later this year. Needless to say, it's going to be an awesome 2022 for Chainsaw Man.
But when is the Chainsaw Man anime release date? There were previous reports suggesting that the anime will premiere sometime in Fall 2022 and will consist of two cours. It is believed that the MAPPA-produced series will finally begin broadcast in October. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
In related news, editor Shihei Lin recently shared the cover art for Tatsuki Fujimoto's Goodbye Eri. In the same post, Lin confirmed that Fujimoto is collaborating with Toda Oto on a new one-shot Listen to Futu. The new manga will be published on Shonen Jump+ on July 4, 2022. Likewise, the Goodbye Eri volume will be released on the same date.
The Chainsaw Man anime has not yet been given an official release date. In the meantime, Chainsaw Man Part 2 will begin serialization on the Shonen Jump+ app on July 13, 2022.
