Even before the show’s premiere, fans were already excited about the anime’s music, as it was announced that popular artist Kenshi Yonezu was tapped to perform the show’s opening song.

Upon the anime’s premiere, the opening song Kick Back became an instant hit, thanks not only to how catchy it is but also because of the stand-out animation. This is because the opening features lots of movie references.

The show’s ending songs also got lots of attention as Chainsaw Man had a unique ending per episode, featuring artists such as Vaundy, Aimer, Eve, and others.

Its ending songs weren’t the only ones that changed with every episode though, as each ending also featured unique animation.

While the opening and ending songs were the tracks that dominated the conversation, Kensuke Ushio’s soundtrack for the series has also gotten praise.

Tracks such as edge of chainsaw got lots of plays on various streaming platforms.

Most of the songs used in the anime were added to an official Chainsaw Man Spotify playlist. Though now, the definitive version of the soundtrack has been released.

The first compiled the songs from Episodes 1-3; the second came with Episodes 4-7's songs; and the third featured the rest.

In total, the previous three EP releases had 29 songs. But now, fans can listen to nearly 50 tracks from the anime with the release of the Complete Edition.

This proper album release features 49 songs, including previously released tracks as well as some songs that have not been streamed yet.

Aside from being available on Spotify and Apple Music, fans in Japan can also order physical CD copies of the soundtrack through Amazon Japan and Rakuten. However, there’s no word yet on a physical release outside Japan.

Nonetheless, international fans do get a cool bonus when they listen via Apple Music as the Chainsaw Man soundtrack features a special motion cover art on Apple’s platform.
