Chainsaw Man Fans Are Losing it Over Makima's [SPOILER] In The Anime

We're all excited about Chainsaw Man, thanks to the new trailer, key visual, and cast reveal. However, there is one thing about the anime that has fans questioning the way MAPPA is adapting the Tatsuki Fujimoto manga. The character design for Makima has been unveiled and people have strong reactions to the way she looks in the adaptation!

Makima is one of the most popular characters in Chainsaw Man because of the way she is illustrated in the manga. As a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter, Makima takes Denji as her human pet and being one of her dogs has become a fantasy shared by most of the character's fans.

At this point, people view Makima as the voluptuous vixen who manages to control Denji, ergo the Chainsaw Man. However, the anime's character design suggests Makima is not as curvy as expected.

It's a huge change for some fans who were expecting Makima to have the curviest of curves. Interestingly, some people are not happy about it and other fans are poking fun at them.

Although there are some who are unhappy about Makima's lack of curves, people are still excited about how the character will be portrayed in the anime. It has already been confirmed that Tomori Kusunoki will play Makima in Chainsaw Man while Suzie Yeung will provide her English dub voice.

Personally, we think Makima looks great although she does look a little less curvy than expected. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Makima in action next month.

Chainsaw Man is based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto and will star Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa, Fairouz Ai as Power, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Captain Kishibe. The anime is set to premiere at midnight on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
