Ahead of the show’s premiere, Crunchyroll announced that the Chainsaw Man English dub anime will premiere at New York Comic-Con 2022 this October.
Along with this premiere, Crunchyroll also confirmed that it will host four panels during the event, as well as have two unique booths for show floor attendees to enjoy.
What’s interesting about the announcement is that the Chainsaw Man English dub premiere will happen even before the subtitled episode premieres on Crunchyroll.
For reference, the first episode of the anime is set to release in Japan on October 11 at 24:00 JST, with the English subtitled release following shortly after.
Take note that the English dub premiere is only open to NYCC badge holders.
Following the premiere, there will also be a Chainsaw Man dub cast panel where fans can participate in a Q&A.
Along with this, there are also three other panels scheduled by Crunchyroll for NYCC 2022.
One of them is a Crunchyroll Industry Panel that’s happening on October 7 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am ET. This panel will feature Fall 2022 anime announcements.
There will also be a One Piece Film: Red cast and crew panel happening on October 8 from 10:45 am to 11:45 am ET.
It will feature Shinji Shimizu (Executive Producer), Goro Taniguchi (Director), and members of the English dub cast.
Finally, a My Hero Academia Panel is scheduled on October 8 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm ET.
This panel will feature Justin Briner, the English voice actor of Deku who will be joined by other members of the voice cast.
As for the two booths, the first is themed “Movies in the City,” and it will exhibit a Tokyo skyline in addition to a photo op modeled after the Forger family’s apartment in Spy x Family.
The other booth will host two photo ops, one for One Piece and another for Chainsaw Man which will feature main characters Denji, Makima, Aki, Power, and Pochita.
Also spread throughout the show floor are My Hero Academia character monuments that depict fan-favorite moments.
The Chainsaw Man English dub premiere and panel are scheduled on October 7, 2022, from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm ET.
Meanwhile, New York Comic-Con 2022 is happening at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from October 6 to 9, 2022.
