Here's What Happened Before Chainsaw Man Chapter 119
Chainsaw Man Chapter 118 picks up from the previous chapter's cliffhanger where Yoru attempted to make a sword out of Denji's spinal cord.
However, Denji wasn't harmed, and -- against our expectations -- there wasn't any fight, as he doesn't even understand what is happening. His reaction is really funny and reminds us why we love Denji.
Asa is relieved, but she and Yoru cannot understand why Denji didn't get turned into a weapon.
Asa's suggestion is that perhaps Denji doesn't have feelings for her yet, though we find this a bit odd.
After all, we've seen her turning an inanimate object (her school uniform) into a weapon, as well as a whole aquarium -- and we can't expect an aquarium to have feelings for her.
In any case, Yoru accepts defeat for now and expects Asa to keep trying to make Denji fall for her.
The next day at school, Denji suggests that he and Asa go to the movies for their next date.
Asa says that the movies are expensive, so she proposes renting a video instead (remember, it's the 90s).
However, she doesn't have a VCR at home, so she suggests going to Denji's house instead.
While surprised, Denji accepts but tells Asa that she has to follow the house rules, as not doing so would mean death.
To complicate matters, Haruka Iseumi overhears. Given that he's already suspicious of Asa, what do you think he'll do then?

We think that the next chapter of Chainsaw Man will show us what Iseumi is going to do with the information he heard.
Whether he'll actually go to Famine is up in the air though, until we actually see the chapter.
Asa preparing for the date also makes sense, though it'd be a bit repetitive if she tried out clothes again.
