Chainsaw Man Announces First International Box Set

There is little doubt that Chainsaw Man was already a popular manga even before the anime dropped last year. However, the franchise is clearly on a roll as people wait for the second part of the animated MAPPA series. Luckily, VIZ Media has exactly what we need as they announce Chainsaw Man's first international box set.

The official VIZ Media Twitter account made the announcement, confirming that the first part of Chainsaw Man will be released in a box set. The upcoming box set will consist of the first 11 volumes of the manga as well as an exclusive poster.

This is great news for fans who are currently waiting for new episodes of the Chainsaw Man anime. The anime had only covered 38 chapters of the manga's first part, ending with Denji successfully defeating Samurai Sword. With that in mind, the box set is an awesome way to catch up on what happens next if you have only been following the anime.

The first part of the Chainsaw Man manga followed Denji as he fuses with the devil Pochita and becomes Chainsaw Man. As he is recruited by Makima to join the Public Safety Devil Hunters, Denji bonds with other Devil Hunters and sets out to defeat the Gun Devil.

The Chainsaw Man anime consists of 12 episodes and adapts the first 38 chapters of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga. Each episode had its own unique ending theme performed by artists like Vaundy, Eve, Maximum the Hormone, and Aimer.

For now, it has not yet been revealed whether the anime will get a second cour or a second season. However, there is a huge chance that an official announcement will be made in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Chainsaw Man box set contains the first 11 manga volumes as well as an exclusive double-sided poster. It will be released by VIZ Media in Fall 2023.
