While it may have been limited to just a couple of streaming platforms when it first aired, Chainsaw Man is finally available on Netflix, but its availability still varies depending on the region.
In Japan, the anime was streamed on various platforms. Though, as with most anime titles, availability outside Japan was a bit more limited, as streaming rights are a big source of revenue for anime.
Chainsaw Man Streaming Platforms
In Fall 2022, each new Chainsaw Man episode was aired on Japanese TV networks every Tuesday evening. Shortly after each TV broadcast, the episodes were released on various streaming platforms.
Effectively, each episode was delayed by around 30 minutes on streaming platforms.
Because of this, each episode’s unique ending was already uploaded on the MAPPA YouTube channel when a new episode became available to stream.
For fans in the US, Europe, and Latin America, Chainsaw Man was streamed weekly on Crunchyroll.
For those who missed its initial broadcast, the anime can still be streamed on Crunchyroll, complete with an English dub option.
Meanwhile, the anime was streamed exclusively on Prime Video in select Asian countries, specifically in some Southeast Asian countries.
This is because streaming rights for anime in Asia (outside Japan) can be quite complicated, unlike in the US, EU, and LATAM, where most shows are either streamed on Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, or Hulu.
Japan has the widest selection of streaming platforms though, as Chainsaw Man is streamed on most major sites in its home country.

Netflix Releases Chainsaw Man
Now though, Chainsaw Man’s availability is expanding, as it is finally available on Netflix too.
However, the streaming giant didn’t promote the anime heavily on its global social media channels. Some regional Netflix pages promoted the show instead.
It seems that most fans found out about the show’s Netflix availability through word-of-mouth or in-app promotion.
As for the countries where it’s available on Netflix, these include India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
Counting Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, where the series was released back in October, that’s eight Asian countries where Chainsaw Man can be watched on Netflix.
Right now, there’s no word yet on whether Chainsaw Man will be released on the platform in the US and other territories too.
