After releasing the new trailer and release date, MAPPA has announced that it will soon reveal the Chainsaw Man anime opening theme as well as more voice cast members.
This was revealed by MAPPA staff in the recent Chainsaw Man panel at Crunchyroll Expo 2022. There, MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka and producer Makoto Kimura shared some interesting details about the upcoming anime
One of the things that they were asked in the panel was about the upcoming world premiere happening next month.
In case you missed the news, episode 1 of Chainsaw Man will get a world premiere this September, and some lucky fans will get to attend if they win an online contest.
Speaking about the premiere, Kimura mentioned that it will be the biggest event for the anime yet. He also confirmed that more voice cast announcements will be made there, as well as a reveal of the show’s opening and ending theme songs (via Comicbook.com).
While there’s no word on the list of characters that will get their voice cast announced, Kimura did mention that the voice actor for Reze will be revealed, along with other major characters.
Given that the Chainsaw Man voice cast for the four principal characters is composed of up-and-coming voice actors, it is expected that this will also be the case for the rest of the cast.
Chainsaw Man is an upcoming anime series by studio MAPPA that’s based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
The original manga is arguably one of the most popular right now, with the Chapter 98 release last month getting over 3 million views in just under 24 hours. Given the manga’s popularity, the excitement for the anime is at an all-time high.
Luckily, fans won’t have to wait too long as Chainsaw Man will premiere in October 2022 on TV Tokyo and Crunchyroll.
