ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo and BLACKPINK's Jennie have been hailed the most-searched idols by teens on Naver, a new query revealed.

K-pop idols expand their empire outside the industry by joining several TV series and movies or the international fashion scene.

Cha Eun Woo has already added several Korean TV series under his belt through his exemplary acting skills and visuals. Meanwhile, Jennie unceasingly set records as a solo musician this year.

With their recent development, the two defeated other K-pop idols and became the most-talked-about individuals by teens.

In a Korean online community, internet users shared screenshots of the search query from Naver. The information in question showed teens' top 10 most searched idols on the Korean platform in 2021.

The results included all genders aged 18 and below, showing what the teens searched on both Naver mobile app and desktop from January to September 2021.

Cha Eun Woo topped the list for the male idols, beating other A-list stars like V (BTS), Baekhyun (EXO), Jungkook (BTS), and Jimin (BTS). Meanwhile, NCT's Haechan and Jaehyun, SHINee' Taemin and Key, and BTS Jin joined them in the list.

For the top female idol members, Jennie crested the highest place. Rose, Jang Won Young, Irene, Chuu, Taeyon, Karina, Winter, Arin, and Yuna.

Although both are parts of different K-pop groups, Cha Eun Woo and Jennie established other careers individually.

Cha Eun Woo first scored a minor role in the film My Brilliant Life before having another part on the Best Hit. In 2018, he scored his first-ever leading role in JTBC's romantic comedy series, My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

His popularity skyrocketed from there, pushing him to land more projects after that. He won the Rookie Award at the 2020 SBS Entertainment Awards as a fixed cast member of Master in the House.

For Jennie's part, she became the first K-pop solo act ever to reach 300 million streams on Spotify. YG Entertainment confirmed the milestone and credited Jennie's Solo for the honor.

The solo project also dominated iTunes song charts in 40 regions, making Jennie the first K-pop female musician to be on iTunes worldwide song chart.
