After wrapping up Castlevania in four seasons, a new show enters Netflix under the same title as Castlevania: Nocturne unveils the series in a trailer introducing the son of Trevor and Sypha, Richter Belmont, who is at the center of it during Geeked Week 2022.

Netflix Geeked Week dropped a ton of updates on their shows, old and new, and just after Castlevania closed its curtains with Season 4, it returns with a new series that will continue to dive deep into the franchise.

Netflix officially unveils the first look of Castlevania: Nocturne with Richter Belmont, son of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, at the center. In their post on the official Twitter page of Netflix Geeked, they welcomed Richter's arrival in his very own show.

Richter Belmont dons a classic blue suit fit for the time setting of the new series which will be happening during the French Revolution and it is also teased that he would be joined by another familiar character from the original game where the series is based, Maria Bernard.

Castlevania: Nocturne will have Kevin Kolde as the showrunner, and Clive Bradley as the writer. The animated series will be produced by Project 51 Productions with Powerhouse Animation providing the production services for the show.

Castlevania: Nocturne has been teased during Netflix Geeked Week last year where the writers of the show hinted at the possibility of a spinoff series following the end of Castlevania since the Netflix show has elevated the game of the streaming platform when it comes to original anime series.

Season 4 of Castlevania was hailed as one of the best animated shows in 2021 and it also paved the way for Netflix to secure the adaptations of other anime series such as Devil May Cry, Assassin's Creed, among others.

Castlevania: Nocturne has no release date yet on Netflix. The series is currently under production.
