Captain Marvel Star Lashana Lynch Is The New 007 In James Bond 25

They said it isn't possible but it looks like things are changing for James Bond 25. A new report has announced that Lashana Lynch is the new 007 in the highly anticipated Daniel Craig film.

The report comes from Daily Mail who received the interesting details from an unnamed source. It was revealed that the Captain Marvel star will be introduced as the new 007 in the still-untitled James Bond 25.

"There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says 'Come in 007', and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman," the source said. "It's a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he's been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman."

That's right, James Bond will still be played by Craig. However, the legendary codename will now be bestowed upon Lynch's character in the film.

But how will Bond react to the reveal? The source continued by stating that some things never change.

"Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don't work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed. Well, certainly not at the beginning," they said.

The plot twist is undoubtedly an idea from Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who has been called on to tweak the film's screenplay. The influence of the Fleabag creator is also evident in the new rule wherein the term Bond girls will no longer be used.

"We were all told that from now on they are to be addressed as 'Bond women'," the source revealed.

Craig's replacement after James Bond 25 has not yet been announced. In the meantime, we can expect to meet the new 007 on April 8, 2020.
