Captain America 4 Will Address Sam Wilson's Lack of Powers

It's only been a few weeks since Captain America 4 was announced but fans are already wondering what will happen in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. Although details about the film have not yet been revealed, we now have an idea of one major plot that will be explored. Interestingly, the next Captain America movie will address Sam Wilson's lack of superpowers.

It has already been confirmed that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman will be working on the fourth Captain America film so there is little doubt that he knows what will happen in the movie. While talking to Everyone Loves A Story, Spellman stated that it's important to address the fact that Sam is the first Captain America who doesn't have any superpowers.

"I believe that's going to be his conflict moving forward. It's appropriate," Spellman said. He then pointed out that this was what made John McClane such a great hero.

"In the action genre, what made Die Hard a classic wasn't who Bruce Willis beat, it was what he went through to beat them," Spellman said. "He's walking through glass with no shoes on, you know what I'm saying. That's what people can identify with: 'This motherf—er is just like me and taking on the bad guys.' What better hero than that to root for?"

Spellman certainly has a point and we've already seen all the trouble that Sam went through before he became Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Although Steve Rogers had given him the shield, Sam still worked hard to prove he deserves it and we could be seeing more of his struggles in the future.

Captain America 4 will bring back Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson. The sequel has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
