The new Captain America is played by Anthony Mackie who has done well in the recent Disney+ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The Disney+ series has been praised by critics and fans due to its emotional depth and cinematic reach.
The series gave Wilson much depth and also showed that he embodied what the role truly meant. After the success of the series, fans have begun to wonder whether Sam Wilson will be in the next theatrical release for Captain America.

Tipster Mikey Sutton stated that Captain America 4 is under development with Mackie taking on the lead role, it seems to still be far from being released. However, the tipster noted that Marvel Studios is already establishing the connection between Wakanda and the new Captain America.

In the Geekosity article, it added the leak that there is no reason for Sam Wilson to not be friendly with Wakanda. If there is any issue that may arise that would require Wilson's assistance, he would certainly offer his help. He may even bring Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) who has a much deeper tie to Wakanda as he spent his time in rehabilitation there.

There is no update as to who will take the new mantle of the Black Panther after the sudden passing of T'Challa actor Chadwick Boseman. However, the movie will certainly pay homage to the actor.
