Call of the Night Manga Release Date Schedule
New chapters of the Call of the Night manga come out weekly. Since August 2019, the manga has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday Magazine.
Kotoyama is the author and illustrator of the Call of the Night manga. He is also the creator of the popular manga series Dagashi Kashi, which has inspired a light novel, an anime, and even its own snack line.
Surprisingly, Kotoyama chose the title of the series after being inspired by the song of the same name by Creepy Nuts. It quickly became the ending song for Call of the Night.
Call of the Night's first manga volume was released in November 2019. As of June 2022, there had been over 138 chapters released and 11 tankobon volumes.
If you want to keep up with Call of the Night, you can read it on the official website of VIZ Media. The manga currently has eight volumes in English print, with volume nine already available for pre-order.
The 192-page Call of the Night volume nine in English print will be released in September 2022. It will detail Anko's backstory as well as the events of Halloween when Kou Yamori goes on a date with Rila.
What Day Do New Call of the Night Chapters Come Out?
New chapters of the Call of the Night manga are usually released every Wednesday, in accordance with their weekly release in Japan.
This is based on the publication day of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in Japan. As of this writing, the 138th chapter of Call of the Night has been released.
Contrary to its name, Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday does not publish new issues on Sunday. It is released every Wednesday instead. The reason for this is Kiichi Toyoda, the magazine's first editor.
Toyoda claims that the Sunday in their brand name evokes a relaxing weekend, hence the name. As a result, don't expect new chapters of Call of the Night every Sunday.
Unlike other manga such as One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia, Call of the Night is released every Wednesday.
