BTS’s Jimin has finally broken his silence about the fans who have been shipping the group members to each other. He also addresses the fan service others want them to do on the first night of Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul at Olympic Stadium.

BTS has been subjected to shipping and fan service and there are several edited videos of their pairings online. Though this has been a thing in the K-pop world, it looks like it doesn’t sit with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

A lot of celebrities have already voiced their concern and discomfort over shipping. Others who have also been requested to do fan service already complained about it.

Some of them are Jin and V, who have rejected fan service requests themselves. Now, Jimin joined in and turned down a recent fan service request, too, Koreaboo noted.

It has been known that Jimin is being paired with Jungkook and J-Hope. Fans also call him and V soulmates after making a song together for their friendship, titled “Friends.”

J-Hope began to tease him and called what he did “bromance.” From there, Jimin finally spoke up and said he didn’t like either bromance or fan service because he didn’t want to act fake.

“I hate such things,” he admitted. “I really don’t like acting fake even as an idol.”

He then cleared that his relationship with his fellow BTS members was not a bromance but a genuine friendship.

Jimin as a Real Idol

Meanwhile, this may be one of the many reasons Jimin has achieved so much as an idol, both as a member of BTS and an individual artist.

Thanks to his incredible talent and straightforward attitude, he manages to set himself apart from the standard idol in the K-pop industry. Other idols are constantly praising him, too, while the rookies are making him their inspiration.

He has an incredible impact on the people and the business that he alone can have. In fact, according to AllKpop, he has one of the largest fanbases in South Korea and internationally.

No other idols have successfully reached this feat. Korea also named him as the “most preferred idol” in the Gallup survey for two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019, which was the first time a male idol managed to do so in the survey’s history.

Although he’s yet to have a solo debut, this just proves Jimin is a real idol in every way possible.
