BTS J-Hope became a huge part of the group's fourth era, Love Yourself.
The K-pop group initially launched the project in 2017 and continuously dropped its series, Love Yourself: Her, Love Yourself: Wonder, Love Yourself: Tear, and Love Yourself: Answer. With BTS's growing popularity, they also launched the Love Myself campaign with the United Nations to help children and teens develop their self-esteem.
"During the process, we also strove to 'LOVE MYSELF' ourselves, and we as a team and as individuals grew as well. We hope that many people felt how the love received from others can become the power that allows them to love themselves," BTS said.
Years after they launched it, J-Hope reflected on the positive impact it caused and how the album where it originated helped him grow into a mature person.
BTS J-Hope Grew Further With Love Yourself Album
Like V, J-Hope told Vogue Korea how he gets more inspiration from his daily life. But out of all the things he did, he reportedly learned more while processing their Love Yourself album.
According to the K-pop idol, he learns a lot from each album production process they made. But writing for that certain album helped him become more mature, who also loves himself a little more. The effect of the project resonated with what the ARMY felt when the boy group gave it to them.
He added that he has been asking himself what happiness is for him in the past few days. For J-Hope, happiness is when he finds comfort from creatures who cannot talk. Although some people might see it as a small thing, he insisted he gets happiness and peace from them.
Meanwhile, he did not forget to thank ARMY for intensifying the real meaning of Love Yourself. J-Hope once told the fans during Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour a similar thing, saying they played a huge role in everything they learned.
"I feel like we've received a lot of love. This is our last stop on the tour. I remember always feeling sad and reluctant to end it when we come to the final moment, but I think this time it will be less so. I've felt a lot and learned a lot," he went on.
J-Hope Still Faces Crash In Musical Process
Although BTS is considered the best K-pop group right now, J-Hope honestly spoke about going through a collapse in his music-making despite the fact that he has been working harder than ever.
For the K-pop idol, music-making is about delivering his dance choreographies. He reportedly still needs more direction when it comes to doing his job as an artist that he recently met a lot of producers and got their feedback.
J-Hope revealed he chose a difficult musical direction that affected him mentally. As a result, he erased all the songs he made and started from scratch again.
But he still chose to look at the brighter side and promised to return better soon after their vacation.
