BTOB gave their fans the best gift after Hyunsik and Sungjae’s military discharges.

BTOB’s fandom, Melody, waited for years to see the group as a whole again following the members’ hiatus due to their military services. Though the K-pop boy group could make songs as frequent as they wanted to, their military duties kept them away from their fans for years.

But after the two final members – Hyunsik and Sungjae – came back, BTOB returned with a new album that broke their personal record.

BTOB Sets New Record With Be Together

Melody savored the first look of BTOB’s third studio album, Be Together, and its title track, The Song.

According to Hanteo Chart, the boy group broke their personal record after the new album sold a whopping 113,430 copies of the album during its first week of release alone. The data covers February 21 to 27 sales.

The impressive number broke several records their previous albums made. The first-week sales are nearly double what its predecessor, 4U: OUTSIDE, made (59,250 during its first week). It also broke the record HOUR MOMENT, established in 2018, selling around 91,207 albums.

Aside from the album’s records, its title song also racked 20 million views on YouTube in less than a week. It made the sing BTOB’s 7th music video surpass the mark, following Outsider, Missing You, I’ll Be Your Man, WOW, Insane, and Show Your Love.

BTOB Scores Spot on South Korea’s Monthly Album Chart

BTOB’s newest milestones did not stop there as the boy group joins other K-pop artists in South Korea’s monthly album chart for the month of February 2022.

Be Together’s album sales ranked fifth overall, following TREASURE’s The Second Step: Chapter One, NMIXX’s Ad Mare, STAYC’s Young-Luv.com, and Girls’ Generation Taeyeon’s INVU.

Meanwhile, Super Junior’s The Road: Winter for Spring, Apink’s Horn: Special Album, Wonho’s Obsession, Viviz’s Beam of Prism, and Day6’s Wonpil’s Filmography completed the Top 10.

BTOB got all the records after Ilhoon left the group in December 2020 following the former member’s issue for using marijuana.
