Comic book fans have long pitted Brie Larson and Gal Gadot against each other with a lot of them debating over which female superhero is more superior — Captain Marvel or Wonder Woman. However, no matter how many times fans try to create a non-existent feud between the two actresses, they have both proven over the years that there's no bad blood between them, and while they aren't seen as the best of friends, you can totally tell that they share a mutual respect for one another.
In fact, Gal and Brie have laid to rest rumors claiming that they have real-life beef following their viral selfie during the 2020 Academy Awards. They have also been very supportive of each other's Marvel and DC projects on social media much to the delight of fans. However, their "friendship" may have come to an end after the Captain Marvel star allegedly unfollowed the Wonder Woman actress on Instagram.
Instagram users noticed that is Brie no longer on Gal Gadot's follower list and people were quick to assume that it had something to do with the Israeli star's "controversial" statement on the ongoing crisis between Israel and Gaza. To those unaware, Gal penned an emotional declaration calling for peace amid the chaotic situation. However, a lot of people found her statement hypocritical as the actress apparently served the Israel Defense Force as a soldier and is believed to be a zionist.
Larson, who is a social media junkie herself has yet to air her sentiments regarding the tension between Israel and Gaza but it's worth noting that the Oscar-winning actress is also opinionated when it comes to current issues. However, that doesn't prove that she unfollowed Gadot over her now-viral statement and if anything, it may have just been a random whoopsie and nothing more. Heck, we're not even sure if she actually followed her in the first place.
Meanwhile, Brie Larson is set to make her MCU comeback in The Marvels.
