Brad Pitt is sparking rumors that he’s in Italy to celebrate his twins Vivienne and Knox’s 14th birthday. After all, the timing of his trip coincided with Angelina Jolie and their children’s vacation in the European country.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Brad Pitt is not in Italy to promote his new movie, Bullet Train. After all, the international promotion for Bullet Train will commence at the end of the month.
Still, it’s entirely possible that Pitt and Jolie’s trip to Italy just happened around the same time. But it’s unclear if the actor was really there to celebrate his children’s birthday.
Is Angelina Jolie Relieved That Brad Pitt Is In Italy To Celebrate Knox And Vivienne’s Birthday?
But according to Hollywood Life, the Maleficent star is relieved that Pitt was there and that his efforts to spend time with their kids have not gone unnoticed.
“Angelina’s on a tight shooting schedule [on Without Blood] so she’s relieved that Brad was able to come to Rome to see the kids and be there for Knox and Vivienne’s birthday, it means a lot to her that he made the trip. She always bends over backward to make sure the kids get time with their dad, especially on special occasions like birthdays and holidays. But in this situation, she was stressing about how to make it all work, so the fact that Brad’s stepped up and made the trip has taken a huge weight off her shoulders, his effort hasn’t gone unnoticed,” a source said.
The source also claimed that Jolie tries her best to shield her children from the issues that she has with their dad. So, even though their communication happens via a third party, the actress is still grateful to have Pitt there with her and the kids.

Brad Pitt Opens Up About His Low-Grade Depression
But before Pitt was photographed arriving at an airport in Italy, he first made headlines following his interview with GQ. Weeks ago, he told the publication that he suffered from low-grade depression.
“I always felt very alone in life. Alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here [in Los Angeles], and it’s really not till recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family. What’s that line, it was either Rilke or Einstein, believe it or not, but it was something about when you can walk with the paradox, when you carry real pain and real joy simultaneously, this is maturity, this is growth,” he said.
Pitt also revealed that he turned to music to feel better, and it’s something that he discovered much later in life.
“I think joy’s been a newer discovery, later in life. I was always moving with the currents, drifting in one way, and onto the next. I think I spent years with low-grade depression, and it’s not until coming to terms with that, trying to embrace all sides of self—the beauty and the ugly—that I’ve been able to catch those moments of joy,” he said.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie’s Custody Battle Continues
Other than this, Pitt is also preoccupied with his ongoing custody battle with Jolie. Last month, a source told Us Weekly that the latter is doing everything that she can to delay and stall the process.
“It’s very clear to him that Angie has gone out of her way to delay and stall the process. All he can do is work with his legal team and file the paperwork whilst responding to her claims. Month after month goes by with one piece of red tape after another, endless jumping through hoops and bickering between their lawyers with no resolution,” the source said.
It's unclear if this is really the case, but if it is, this means that Pitt and Jolie won’t reach an agreement over the custody of their children anytime soon.
