After reports earlier this week of the manga’s return, the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga finally has an official return date which was revealed alongside Sarada Uchiha’s dramatic new look.
This week, Naruto fans were in a frenzy after an image of Sarada’s new look was leaked.
Though at the time, there were still some doubts from some fans given the nature of the leaks.
Today, it was revealed that the leaks were true as Sasuke’s daughter does have a striking new look when Boruto returns after its hiatus.

Sarada Uchiha’s New Design Draws a Lot of Attention
After serializing for years, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations went on a three-month-long hiatus which began after the latest chapter’s release last April.
The hiatus was a huge deal for fans, especially as it features a huge shift in the storyline as Eida’s ability caused everyone to think Boruto was responsible for Naruto’s death. Thus, he is now hunted by the Hidden Leaf Village.
Given that the next part of Boruto will feature a time skip, it’s now confirmed that Sarada will sport a new look for the manga’s return. While not fully shown, here’s a look at Sarada:
As you can see, Sarada now has a new black-and-red outfit. Though perhaps the most striking change here is her shorter hair, not to mention her older look overall.
From the looks of it, most fans love the new look, with many praising illustrator Mikio Ikemoto's style for the new design.
Plus, some also liked the Uchiha clan earrings, as well as the jacket that's reminiscent of the Akatsuki’s signature cloak.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Returns This August With New Arc
Unlike the original Naruto manga, Boruto has a monthly serialization, meaning fans are used to longer waits between chapters.
But the recent hiatus is one that fans couldn’t wait to be over, especially given how massively the recent events will change the series’ dynamic.
After reports of its return date, the Boruto manga finally confirmed that the series will return on August 21, 2023, with the next chapter being released in the next V Jump issue.
The manga will return as the second part of Boruto, and it was announced that the next arc is titled Two Blue Vortex.
Fans outside of Japan can expect the next Boruto chapter to be released on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump shortly after its Japanese release.
