Recently, word got out that Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be taking a break and finally, it has been confirmed that there will be one but it is longer than what is expected as the manga series announces an extended hiatus through the whole month of July until the 20th of August this year.
In a report from Anime News and Facts, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be taking a break for the whole month of July and will not be back until August 20, 2022. Considering that the manga series only releases an issue once a month, the hiatus doesn’t seem to be that long but for the fans who are waiting for what is to come next, it’s long enough.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga currently shows the dark aftermath following the battle of Boruto and Naruto versus Isshiki Otsutsuki and the Kara Organization which the former left in shambles but the threat still remains with the cyborg creations, Ada, Code, and Daemon who was revealed to be the worst.
Boruto and the rest of the team were successful in defending the Hidden Leaf Village against the sneak attacks from Code and Ada but their success came with a huge cost with Boruto’s soul almost being taken over by Momoshiki Otsutsuki and the scientist of Kara, Amado, being held hostage by Ada.

The last release of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga, Chapter 71, ended with Ada discovering more secrets about Kawaki and his Karma powers. Code made a dark promise of eliminating the dearest to Kawaki: the Hidden Leaf Village, his friends, and Naruto, possibly subjecting Kawaki to so much pain should Code succeed in his sinister plan.
Things are left unanswered making the hiatus long enough for those itching to know what comes next.
