Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 67, titled Rift, featured the intense fight between Kawaki and Code. Kawaki, who apparently just "killed" Boruto in the previous chapter, has clearly unlocked a new level of Karma powers that overwhelm Code, but the villain is able to pull off a surprising trick to survive Kawaki's devastating attack, and that involves the powerful Kara child, Daemon.
In the latest Boruto chapter written by Masashi Kishimoto with art by Mikio Ikemoto, the battle between Kawaki and Code intensifies while Shikimaru is trying to pull together a mourning Naruto after his son was apparently killed by Kawaki. Code struggles to defend himself from Kawaki's attacks, and when Kawaki is about to finish Code off with a powerful blast, Code uses his Claw Mark to pull Daemon without warning in order to activate the child's reflecting ability to thwart Kawaki's attack.
Daemon was sleeping on Ada's arms, but Code has no choice but to wake him up, and teleport him with his Claw Mark to defend himself against Kawaki's powerful blast. Daemon appears on top of Code's head, and he wonders where he is.
Code apologizes to Daemon, and tells him that he's saved thanks to Daemon's reflective ability. Shikimaru is surprised to see Daemon and wonders who he is, and Daemon asks Code who his enemy is, so he can crush him. However, Kawaki is already down, and Code tells him the fight just wrapped up.
Code sends Daemon back to Ada, and Ada asks Code if Kawaki is okay. Code says not to worry because Kawaki is still alive. Ada is relieved, and says that he would have sent Daemon back to dispose of him if Kawaki is dead.
The latest chapter of Boruto really showed how Daemon's reflecting ability can defend even powerful attacks and redirect them to the person unleashing them. It's likely that we will see more of Daemon and Ada in the future chapters of Boruto. After all, Code already revealed his next mission.
