In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 198, Monsters, Delta continues to push forward through the village and Naruto takes the front lines where they engage in a battle while the children had to stay back as far as possible. They had an initial taijutsu flurry where a revelation was made: the leg and eyes of Delta are all scientific ninja tools, which she then uses to pierce the abdomen of Naruto.

Naruto acted hurt with the thought that Delta might back down and lower her guard if she sees such. However, Delta thought otherwise. Naruto then unleashes and activates his Nine-Tails Cloak, and he pursues fiercely through Delta to keep her away from the children. Kawaki, on the other hand, tries to stop Boruto from intervening in the fight.

Delta grew more and more furious and desperate at the same time, trying to hurt Naruto. Because of this, she targeted Himawari, which forced Naruto to go in for a trap. He shields his daughter to the best he can as such an attack from Delta could possibly be fatal. Before he gets to her, Kawaki arrived there first, taking the blast, and saved her—costing his right arm.
