Update: Major spoilers for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 70 have been revealed because the chapter is now available to read online. Its title is From the Bottom of My Heart.

A small preview advert text for Boruto Chapter 70 was shared on Twitter, teasing, "How will Boruto and his friends react to the threat that is facing Konoha...!?"

Boruto Chapter 70 begins with Shikimaru asking Eida if it that would be best if she wants to get closer to Kawaki, and Eida asks, "Me? Come over to Konoha?"

Eida's left eye starts to activate, turning darker, and Code looks concerned, asking her what she's doing, and she tells him to shush and that she has every right to consider this.

Her eye continues to move mysteriously, and Shikimaru wonders what she's doing.

Naruto approaches the panel for unlocking the door of Amado's lab, and he frustratingly tells Ino that the door won't open.

Shikimaru telepathically communicates with Naruto and aplogizes to him for locking the door in order to protect them from the enemy's jutsu.

Naruto asks if he's okay and what's going on, and Shikimaru tells him that he doesn't have time to explain and that the situation is delicate. He tells him not to interfere, and to not destroy the expensive lock system because the village's budget is already shrinking.

Boruto and Sasuke are running behind Naruto, and Boruto calls his father.

Eida says that the Hokage and others are stuck outside, and tells Shikimaru that he told a colleague that he locked the door to protect them from her ability.

Shikimaru looks at her left eye again, and Amado telepathically says that it's called Senrigan, which allows her to see what's happening anywhere in the world.

Shikimaru says, "What?", and Amado tells him that her clairvoyant ability is not limited to current events, but she can also see past events, meaning that no one can hide anything from her.

Eida's Senrigan eye gazes at Shikimaru, who's thinking that this is unbelievable.

Shikimaru thinks that it seems that she couldn't hear his conversations with Amado, and if they didn't have Ino's jutsu, she would be able to peer inside their hearts, which makes him shudder.

Eida says that she's surprised that she's just another Kara remnant to him, and that she thought that he'd see her as an enemy. She tells him that he's right, and that there's no need to cause hostility between her and Konoha.

Shikimaru tells her that if she continues to help Code, she would be considered as Konoha's foe. He lays out the choices to her: Konoha or Code.

Delta still looks enchanted, and Code glances back while still pinning Amado against the wall.

Meanwhile, Kawaki is still on his hospital bed, reflecting on what he's done, telling Sumire that if he didn't do it, the Seventh Hokage would be dead right now.

He says that it's the first time he was grateful to have the Karma from the bottom of his heart, and he realized that he needs it.

Sumire tells Kawaki that Amado putting Karma in him without his permission could be for Amado's own purposes. Kawaki appears to be thinking bout that.

Back to the lab: Code tells Amado that thanks to his stalling, things are moving in a weird direction, and he demands him to spill the code so he can restore his power.

Amado screams in pain as Code tortures him, and Shikimaru tells Amado to hang in there, explaining that if he dies now, Code won't be able to get his limiters rescinded.

Shikimaru tells him that Code will kill him after he unlocks his power because he won't have any need of him after he gets what he wants.

Amado says he thinks he will die of shock before that happens.

Eida tells Code that they have to retreat now, and Code asks what's wrong.

She says that Kawaki is coming, and that he'll be here soon.

Shikimaru looks surprised to hear that Kawaki is coming, and he's thinking that Kawaki can use his Sukuna Hikona ability to shrink himself and enter via the vents.

Kawaki is shown moving fast through the vents, and Shikimaru thinks that Kawaki can nullify Code's claw marks.

Code looks worried that Kawaki is approaching close, and says that he was close.

Amado telepathically tells Shikimaru that there are exceptions to who Eida can entrap: blood relatives and Ohtsutsuki.

Shikimaru looks angry because Amado did not mention this earlier.

Amado says that if he did, Shikimaru would summon Kawaki right away to fight Code, and Shikimaru asks what's wrong with that.

Amado says that he can't afford to have Kawaki die, and that Kawaki's presence has got to be a headache for him because he was a seed of trouble to Konoha from the start.

Amado tells Shikimaru that if he was in his shoes, the most convenient thing to him is to have Code or Kawaki - or both - died fighting one another.

Shikimaru calls him bastard, and that he's out of line.

Ino tells both Shikimaru and Amado that this is no time for arguing.

Amado says to let Code and Eida retreat, and not stall them until Kawaki gets here. He tells Shikimaru that they will have another chance to take them down, but they need Boruto and Kawaki get stronger first.

Shikimaru looks upset, and suddenly, Amado is pulled inside Code's huge claw mark on the wall.

Code kicks Amado to push him inside the claw mark, and Shikimaru shouts Amado's name while Delta watches, looking dumbfounded.

Eida tells Code to hurry up because Kawaki is almost here.

Shikimaru uses his shadow jutsu to stop Eida, telling Ino that his technique won't last long, and asks her where Kawaki is now.

Code calls Shikimaru a fool and asks if he wants to die that badly.

Shikimaru asks Eida what's wrong with meeting Kawaki, and why she's bashful.

Then Eida calls Delta, telling her that she's in a bind, then asks her to help her.

Shikimaru is wondering what that meant, and Delta stands up to kick Shikimaru, but he dodges her attack.

However, Eida is released from Shikimaru's shadow technique.

Eida tells Shikimaru that she's sorry that they will be parting ways for now, and thanks him for his enticing officer.

As Eida leaves, she tells him that they shall meet again, and also thanks Delta and tells her she loves her.

Delta tells her that she loves her too, and asks her to please come visit again.

Code tells Shikimaru that he's adding his name to his Restribution List, so he should prepare himself.

Shikimaru tells him to get lost, and to never show himself ever again.

Kawaki arrives late in the lab from the vents, and disocvers that no one else is there but Delta and Shikimaru.

Meanwhile, in the Kara hideout, Amado damns Code when he finds out that Daemon was also released by the villain.

Code grabs Amado and lifts him by the collar. He tells him that there's no way to escape now, and asks him if he gives up.

Amado asks what will happen if he rescinds his limiters, if he will kill him if he does it. Amado asks who would go along with this if they know they would be killed, and Code tells him that he'd be free of the pain and die in peace.

Amado tells him that he has the tendency to go that far, then asks what he'd do if he dies from the pain of his torture, telling him that he would be the one in trouble.

Code tells him to quit his yapping, and that he was irritated to begin with.

Amado tells him that the risk is even higher, then makes an offer. He tells him that he would remove his limiters right away without any resistance, and in return, he begs him to spare his life.

Code calls him pathetic, and asks him if he has any pride left.

Amado says that he has no interests in such useless concepts, and to stop wasting each other's time.

Code tells him that he always has a comeback, and to just do it instead of engaging in idle chatter.

There's a pause while Eida and Daemon are watching them from a distance.

Then suddently, Amado says, there's "no dress Code" then suddenly a bright explosion unleashes between Amado and Code.

Code floats above, and he says that it's a nice feeling as if he can't lose to anyone.

Code tells Amado to forgive him as he raises his claw at him. He tells him that he will let him free from the pain of his wound, from suffering, and the scene cuts to an end.
