Boruto Chapter 66 Spoilers: A major character death?
In the previous chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Borushiki and Kawaki charge at each other, with Borushiki firing a fully-charged Chou Oodama Rasengan towards Naruto. Kawaki jumps in the way of the attack to protect Naruto, but he completely absorbs its power, shocking everyone.
Surprisingly, Kawaki has activated a new Karma form, with his left eye now featuring a lightly-colored triangle as we see Isshiki's horn and finger pattern appear. Code is thinking that's impossible, and wonders how that happened.
Update: Major spoilers have been leaked ahead of the new chapter's release date. A reliable leaked known as Organic Dinosaur have shared details for Chapter 66, which is titled Kill or Be Killed.
The chapter begins with Kawaki's new Karma-activated arm. He has a flashback to a conversation with Amado about the "power" he wishes to control.
Ada and Code are confused by Kawaki having this kind of power, discussing how the repairs to his arm and the subsequent fight might have been the conditions required to "awaken that power". Daemon is seen still sleeping on Ada's arms.
Kawaki looks at his arm and then coldly stares at Borushiki, who begins to taunt Kawaki.
Suddenly, nine black rods are manifested from Kawaki and are aimed straight at Borushiki, who's able to evade the initial attack. Kawaki then transforms his arm into a scythe and attacks him again, which Borushiki is also able to dodge, but the attacks are getting closer.
He then notices that four black cubes are forming in the sky above them before they quickly fall to the ground for yet another powerful attack.
Meanwhile, Code's claw is still around Shikamaru's neck, and he begins to slowly dig deeper as Naruto and Kawaki talk. Naruto asks how far Kawaki is willing to go, to which he says that hes' just doing whatever needs to be done, for his sake.
Borushiki tries a flanking attack while Kawaki is distracted, but he's able to dispel the chakra that was being prepared in the technique.
Kawaki then unleashes an "unnamed fire ninjutsu" but Borushiki extinguishes the flames and attempts to kick Kawaki, but he dodges by suddenly shrinking his size and instantly growing again once they missed.
Borushiki gets more distant and throws a few Shuriken, but Kawaki makes them shrink as well. They keep attacking each other as the fight intensifies, and while they are able to dodge most attacks, Naruto is becoming more anxious as he watched them fight.
Borushiki's left eye starts to open up - a sign that Boruto is re-emerging, but Kawaki makes an open palm gesture as four more black rods manifest. They hit Boruto through the arm, abdomen, shoulder, and knee going straight through his body.
A giant black cube appears above him, but Naruto is able to save Boruto just before it crashes down on him.
Naruto then tells Kawaki that this is not a joke, and that he needs to cool off and calm down before he ends up killing Boruto. However, Boruto suddenly sits up and pushes his father away. He's holding his hand over his eye. As he is kneeling on the ground and stares off into the distance, he says that there's a "last resort" option.
Then, Boruto clasps his hands together and make the serpent hand seal as Naruto screams out in horror. Naruto is able to touch his son again, but Boruto blasts him out of the way using Wind Release Gale Palm.
Kawaki says that Boruto has been preparing for this moment, as Boruto looks at Kawaki, and asks him to kill him while his consciousness is still suppressing Momoshiki.
Kawaki then pierces Boruto straight to the chest... "at least a meter of Kawaki's transformed arm has gone out the other side", which is now pouring blood.
Naruto watches in horror as Kawaki pushes his arm deeper, bringing the two face-to-face, then he retracts his arm, sending Boruto flying through the air and lands in a crumpled heap. Boruto is laying down on his back, with his head turned to his right side. The final page of the chapter reveals that there's a gaping hole in his chest, and Naruto looks shocked to see his son down.
This is where Chapter 66 ends, but fans should note that Boruto's death hasn't been confirmed, so there's a chance that he might still be alive. Fans have also shared what they think about the possibility of Boruto surviving Kawaki's attack.
