When Naruto was young, he vowed to become the next Hokage. Now, in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, fans have seen how Naruto took care of the village as the Seventh Hokage. The question now is, who will take over after him as the Eighth Hokage?

Characters Who Could Be the Eighth Hokage
The Hokage is the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village. They are considered the strongest shinobi.
So far, there are seven Hokages: Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Minato Namikaze, Tsunade, Kakashi Hatake, and Naruto Uzumaki.
There are quite a good number of potential Hokages after Naruto, but we specifically chose the top three who will most likely lead the Hidden Leaf Village.
Sasuke Uchiha
As the Shadow Hokage, it will not be a surprise if Sasuke eventually becomes the Hokage after Naruto.
Both characters have the same level of strength, although some fans still doubt Sasuke’s loyalty toward the village.
His intelligence and experience on the battlefield make him ideal as a leader.
And though he might not be as expressive as Naruto, Sasuke is the type of person who gives his all in everything he does.
Therefore, fans can expect the same when he becomes the next Hokage.

Konohamaru Sarutobi
When Naruto and Konohamaru were kids, Konohamaru told Naruto that he will be the Hokage after the protagonist. This might actually happen if Konohamaru continues to improve his skills.
As the leader of Team 7, we saw what kind of leader Konohamaru is. His dedication and loyalty towards the village have been evident ever since he was a kid.
Although he is less strong than Sasuke, there is still a chance that he can become the eighth Hokage.
Shikamaru Nara
Shikamaru’s leadership and intelligence make him the perfect advisor for Naruto. He was also the first Chunin in his batch, proving his ability to make the right call during tough situations.
Asuma Sarutobi trained him to look after the King and the people of the Hidden Leaf, guaranteeing that he knew how to lead and protect the village.
He might not have added power-ups like Naruto, but his skills in strategizing make him a good candidate to be the next Hokage.
So, Who Will Most Likely Be the Eighth Hokage?
Unfortunately, there are still no hints from the anime or manga as to who will be the next Hokage.
It is still early to have one from Boruto’s batch, so there is a chance that it could be one of the three characters mentioned above or someone totally unexpected.
Naruto is still in perfect shape (even without Kurama) to protect the village, so there is no need to look for a replacement.
But whoever it will be, they will surely be the perfect person for the job.
