While the series made a return in March, BOFURI Season 2’s final two episodes were postponed. Finally, BOFURI Season 2 Episodes 11 and 12 have official release dates, and fans won’t have to wait too long for the season’s finale.
The anime’s return date was announced on the show’s official Twitter account. There, the return dates for the final two episodes were revealed.
What’s great is that, unlike other delayed shows, BOFURI won’t be moved to a new season.
Bofuri Season 2 Delays
Many anime fans believe that Winter 23 is a cursed season given the sheer number of anime that were delayed.
While it started like any other season, a few weeks into January, several big anime were delayed.
The biggest delays were Aniplex titles such as NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, as well as Ayakashi Triangle.
Though another one that got delayed was BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2.
Pretty much all of these delays were blamed on COVID-19 which likely affected many overseas animation studios that help produce anime shows.
While some shows were delayed to the following season, BOFURI returned with its seventh episode on March 8. The next three episodes were then aired on the following Saturdays.
When it returned, it was announced that there were no release dates yet for Episodes 11 and 12.
Now though, the final two episodes are confirmed to release in April.

Bofuri Season 2 Episodes 11 and 12 Finally Get Release Dates
The show’s official Twitter account revealed that Episode 11 will air on April 12 at 11:30 PM in Japan. This effectively means BOFURI only has a one-week delay.
Meanwhile, Episode 12 will air on April 20 at 3:30 AM on Japanese TV. The two episodes are then expected to stream outside Japan shortly after the Japanese broadcast.
According to the announcement tweet, the slight delay for the last two episodes was done to ensure the main story’s quality.
Compared to other delayed shows, BOFURI Season 2 got off lightly.
For instance, Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible stopped airing midway through Winter 23, and it was soon announced that the show will get rebroadcast in Spring 23.
Another anime that got even worse luck is Ayakashi Triangle. After a short-lived return, it was revealed that the series will be moved to Summer 23 beginning with the first episode.
