NHK World-Japan is NHK’s dedicated network for international audiences, and it features content in the English language, or at least with English subtitles.

Thus, the upcoming music festival will be shown all over the world – great news for anime fans given that many NHK programs are only released in Japan.

Recently, NHK confirmed the program’s official lineup. These include notable artists like Aina the End of The Witch from Mercury fame, as well as Queen Bee, the band behind Oshi no Ko's catchy ending theme.

This music festival won’t be performed live though. Instead, the show has already been recorded at the NHK Hall in Shibuya. But the entire performance will only air later this month.

NHK confirmed that the program will be shown in 160 countries and regions all over the world. It will be broadcast for two weeks, between November 19 and 26, 2023.

The real-life Kessoku Band, which features Kita VA Ikumi Hasegawa, is part of the NHK World-Japan music festival. There, the band played the song, Seishun Complex, which serves as the anime’s opening.

Many Kessoku Band performances have been released online over the past year, but this upcoming music festival is a highlight. After all, the festival is the band’s proper TV debut.

This music festival is made for fans all over the world, though Japanese audiences will be able to watch it on NHK General on January 3, 2023.

As for the anime, there’s no word yet on a second season for Bocchi the Rock! But there will be two compilation films that will be screened in Japanese cinemas next year.
