There’s still no word on a second season, but Bocchi the Rock! fans were treated to a special performance by Ikuyo Kita VA Ikumi Hasegawa where she sings the Kessoku Band song Flashbacker.

Hasegawa is joined by the anime’s musicians in a live studio performance titled Special Studio Live that was uploaded on the official Aniplex YouTube channel.

In a way, this is a preview of the upcoming Kessoku Band concert, which is happening later this month.

Recently, a Bocchi the Rock! stage event happened in Tokyo. While many fans were hoping for a Season 2 announcement there, that was sadly not the case.

Instead, a new Kessoku Band single was announced there, which is set to release on May 24. And to celebrate this new CD, a Bocchi the Rock! concert was also revealed.

This concert will feature Ikumi Hasegawa with various musicians as they perform the anime’s original songs.

As the band’s lead singer, it follows that Kita voice actress Ikumi Hasegawa is also the singer of most of the show’s songs.

The other voice cast members aren’t exactly trained musicians, hence the need for guitarists and other instrumentalists.

The other voice actresses will still join the concert, and they are expected to perform the ending songs as they each have an ending that they sing.

This upcoming concert will happen on May 21, 2023, at ZEPP Haneda in Tokyo.

For those who won’t be able to watch the concert, Aniplex did at least release a special performance by Hasegawa and the anime’s musicians.

Specifically, Hasegawa and the band perform the song Flashbacker from the anime’s soundtrack.

This song was also used in a preview video for the anime. You can check it out here:

While Hasegawa has proven her singing chops in the various Bocchi songs, this live performance proves how great her live singing voice is.

If that’s not enough, Aniplex also has a video of Hasegawa and the band performing the anime’s opening song which was released a month ago. You can watch it here:

It may have been months now since the anime ended, but promotional projects continue to be made.

Because of this, many fans are hoping that Bocchi the Rock! Season 2 will be confirmed soon.
