Bluntman and Chronic Teased for Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Reboot

Besides getting emotional about Captain Marvel, Kevin Smith is currently working on a reboot of Jay and Silent Bob, and he's been giving more teases from the set here and there. Just in, he confirms the return of his Marijuana-based superheroes, Bluntman and Chronic.

Smith teases:

With Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back already filled to the brim with Easter Eggs and nods to comics, I'm curious what kind of ‘reboot' they'll bring to Bluntman and Chronic in the height of the popularity of the MCU and the DCEU. Maybe Smith has something to say about DC falling behind when it started as well.

We already know that Smith and Jason Mewes are coming back as Jay and Silent Bob in the film, but I'm curious who these Bluntman and Chronic actors are going to be. With Ben Affleck's relationship with Smith (plus his exit of the Batman role), I think it would be cool if he made a cameo as himself to play Bluntman. Maybe they can even bring Brenton Thwaites from Titans to play Chronic.

What if they went the Dark Knight Returns route and cast Chronic as a girl? Not surprising anymore when it comes to modern comic book movies. How about a return from Mark Hamill?

No release date has been set for the Jay and Silent Bob reboot.
