Bling Bling delivered saddening news to fans about its disbandment this year.

MAJOR9 introduced Bling Bling by uploading a video of the group members dancing to BTS’ Fire and NCT U’s Boss. From there, the company unveiled the members’ identities individually, starting with Yubin followed by Choi Jieun, Ayamy, Marin, Cha Juhyun, and Narin.

It was able to debut with digital single G.B.B and returned with Contrast last year. While fans wanted to see them again, the group offered a heartbreaking update instead.

Bling Bling Announces Disbandment

On July 26, Bling Bling’s agency, MAJOR9, released a press statement confirming the girl group’s split. Per Korea JoongAng Daily, the girl group also halted its future activities, with the members ending their contracts with the company.

Fans, however, will still see them again as the members plan to start anew soon.

“We’d like to thank the six members who have always worked hard as the first idol group of MAJOR9, and we sincerely support their new future. We would also like to express our deep gratitude to all the fans who have supported, cared for, and loved Bling Bling. Please continue to encourage and support the members who are about to make a new start,” MAJOR9 went on.

It remains unknown how the six members will continue individually in the industry or if they plan to try another career in the entertainment industry.

Bling Bling Had Major Career Plan

Before its disbandment, Bling Bling members shared their bright hopes for the girl group’s future.

In an interview with HELLOKPOP, they expressed their excitement and hopes to make their first comeback a good promotion. They also wanted to collaborate with BLACKPINK, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj, among others.

In addition, the members wanted to try diverse concepts in the future to show different sides to their fans.

Asked what Bling Bling’s future would look like, Narin said they desired to have a world tour.

“This is a dream for Bling Bling, we’d really love to do a world tour. We want to show our performances to fans worldwide, and we really want to meet them soon,” the idol went on.

Unfortunately, it will not become a reality anymore following its disbandment.
