Ahead of the episode’s release, a leak of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 has spread online. The leak was shared on various platforms online ahead of its upcoming official release.

Reactions to the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 Leaks

It’s fair to say that Thousand-Year Blood War is one of this season’s most anticipated shows.

After all, it marks the return of Bleach, one of the most popular shonen anime and manga series.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Bleach is an anime series by studio Pierrot that’s based on the manga written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from August 2001 to August 2016.

Meanwhile, Thousand-Year Blood War is a TV anime adaptation of the Bleach manga’s final arc.

It also serves as the series’ conclusion and covers Volumes 55 to 74 of the manga.

Given that this will give the anime a proper conclusion since its initial run ended without finishing the manga’s story, there’s a lot of hype behind the series, with many fans highly anticipating the show’s premiere on Hulu and Disney+.

Shortly after the leak was shared online, it was met with much disappointment from fans, especially considering how it will be released on official platforms later today.

While there are some who watched the leaked episode already, there are many on Twitter that called upon fellow fans to not watch or share the leak.

Many also call for fans to watch the upcoming episode and the rest of the series only on official channels.

Details of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1

After the episode leaked, there were several anime news accounts on Twitter that shared some technical information (without spoilers) regarding the first episode.

Specifically, it was revealed that the episode is 24 minutes and 31 seconds long.

It is also reported to have no opening and ending credits, though there is a video compilation of iconic moments from the previous seasons that will play at the end of the episode.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 will air in Japan today, with a Hulu release in the US and a Disney+ international release shortly after.
