From the looks of it, the first episode of Bleach’s highly anticipated return lived up to the hype as fans praised Thousand-Year Blood War’s animation quality shortly after Episode 1 was released.
Fans on various social media platforms such as Twitter shared their thoughts on Episode 1, with many expressing their thoughts on the impressive production quality of the anime.

Thousand-Year Blood War Trends Online
As shared by the official anime Twitter account, Bleach became the number 1 trending topic during the Episode 1 air date and time, with over 300,000 Tweets about the series.
This should come as no surprise to Bleach fans, especially considering that Thousand-Year Blood War marks the return of the series years after the final anime episode aired.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Thousand-Year Blood War is an anime series by Pierrot that’s based on the final arc of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga.
The original anime series adaptation did not adapt this final arc, meaning this will give fans a proper series conclusion in anime form.
The hype for the series was enough that there were already lots of discussions yesterday ahead of the Episode 1 release as it was leaked hours before.
Though many fans asked viewers to refrain from sharing these leaks to support its official stream.
Aside from trending on Twitter, the series was rated highly on MyAnimeList, enough that it dethroned Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood from the top spot in the site’s Top Anime ranking.
Take note though, this is a fairly common occurrence when a hyped show gets released.
It’s likely that its rating will go down as the season goes on, but it’s still an indication of how high the interest in the series is.

One of the prevailing sentiments online regarding the series is how great Thousand-Year Blood War’s animation is.
