Blade Runner: Black Lotus is finally coming this November and we just got the official release date. In addition to that, there is a new poster and trailer to hype up the upcoming cyberpunk anime series.

The new Black Lotustrailer once again focuses on Elle, the female replicant voiced by Iron Fist actress Jessica Henwick. However, we also get a glimpse at the other characters and a little refresher on what has been happening in the Blade Runner Universe.

It is confirmed that the series takes place 20 years after the first replicants were created and Elle appears to be the main target for everyone including the LAPD. But will she ever learn her purpose? We'll find out for sure this November.

Black Lotus serves as the sequel to Blade Runner Black Out 2022 which introduced Tyrell Corporation's new Nexus-8 replicants. The new anime is expected to bring back some characters from Black Out so it will be interesting to catch up with them after a decade.

This pretty much confirms that Black Lotus happens just a few years after the original Ridley Scott film and before Blade Runner 2049. It might even reveal what happened to all those replicants before the events in the Denis Villeneuve movie.
