BLACKPINK has been one of the best K-pop girl groups in history since its debut in 2016. If there is one thing they love the most, it is surely collecting accolades from different award-giving bodies.

As the successor of YG Entertainment’s girl group, 2NE1, BLACKPINK members felt the pressure to achieve the same milestones as their senior girl group. The journey was not easy, though, but it seamlessly broke several records and collected milestones before and after its debut.

While they continue to achieve what other girl groups are yet to reach, BLACKPINK scored another opportunity no one ever had before.

BLACKPINK’s 1st In-Game Concert Coming Soon

The official Twitter account of PUBG Mobile released the official poster of BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE 2022 IN-GAME CONCERT: [THE VIRTUAL].

The collaboration with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile will ultimately make BLACKPINK the K-pop artist to have an in-game concert in history.

The upcoming event will present 3D avatars of the four members — Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo —created and designed using the same high-level technology PUBG uses in its games.

Korea JoongAng Daily confirmed that the members would perform their hits during the in-game concert. A special track, which they have not released publicly yet, will also be performed at the event.

Following the concert, players will enjoy new game items, including the costumes BLACKPINK will wear during the concert. The new collaboration became one step higher compared to their partnership years ago. For what it’s worth, PUBG chose BLACKPINK’s songs from its first full-length album, The Album, as Battleground Mobile's background music.

"We wanted to provide an opportunity for artists and fans to communicate more closely beyond borders and language barriers. As it is a special and interesting attempt, we hope that the fans can enjoy more of Blackpink's charms through this virtual concert,” YG Entertainment said in a statement.
