Black Widow Runtime Revealed, Is it Longer Than Avengers: Endgame?


We've been waiting for Black Widow for a long time now but there are still a lot of things about the film that we don't know. For instance, will the new Marvel Cinematic Universe flick be longer than Avengers: Endgame? Luckily, the Black Widow theatrical runtime has finally been revealed.

Disney UK has updated its site's page for Black Widow to share the synopsis for the MCU flick. Interestingly, it also confirms that the upcoming movie will be 2 hours and 13 minutes, or approximately 133 minutes long.

That's a lot shorter than Endgame, which had a whopping 181-minute runtime that made it well over 3 hours long.

It's not the news that fans were hoping for considering that this will be Natasha Romanoff's final MCU appearance. After all, we were all expecting Nat's story to be depicted properly.

Although Black Widow is only over 2 hours long, there's a good chance it will still stand up to fan expectations. There's a possibility that the movie will be brimming with action sequences as well as important dialogue along the way. With that in mind, we're still hyped up about the first MCU film in over a year.

The synopsis for Black Widow reads as follows:

"In Marvel Studios' action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger."

Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland and stars Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Rachel Weisz, The film is scheduled for theatrical release on May 7.
