If the Spring season when Black Widow is to be released does not pan out the way people hoped for, it would likely lead for the movie to have another delay. The probable course of action is to likely release it on theaters and Disney+ at the same time, the way Warner Bros did with Wonder Woman 1984.

The reason why the streaming service option is available is due to the fact that the studio cannot keep on delaying the movie forever. This is why some fans have been calling out for a streaming release solution since last summer.

As much as Disney wants to keep the theater experience, they will have to make a decision soon. The reception of Wonder Woman 1984 over at HBO Max could be a factor in the decision-makers' minds.

Wonder Woman 1984 nabbed $118 globally despite the raging pandemic and will have a prolonged theater run. Its performance in the streaming service, HBO Max, is also impressive.
