Black Panther Star Tenoch Huerta Remains Hopeful Starring in Avengers Films

We haven’t seen the last of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Namor, and Tenoch Huerta isn’t, either, as he expresses his hope of getting to star in the future MCU films, specifically, joining the Avengers. There is no denying that his performance as the antagonistic sub-mariner captured the hearts of fans, so another opportunity to see him within the MCU is not far-fetched at all.

When asked by The Wrap if fans could expect to see him grace the screens again: “Honestly, I don’t know. I hope so. I hope so.”

Now that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness is making his way to pen the script for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the writer has teased of being “excited” to write Namor into the story, after all. Although he spilled no details on what role Namor will be in for the Avengers film, Huerta’s future in the MCU is looking bright as ever.

“So, please tell the people to send tweets and letters to Marvel, because I would love to appear in the next movie, but I don’t really know.” Huerta added.

Black Panther director Ryan Coogler fought to put Namor in the sequel with a potential to last long within the MCU, and as of current, Namor has a huge chance now to be included in an Avengers film, whether as a friend or foe. However, Huerta did admit he hasn’t been contacted yet on any Marvel projects as of writing:

“I would love [to be a part of MCU’s Avengers team].” Huerta said, “I can hear many rumors from people around me, but I don’t know. Honestly, they haven’t called me to say anything.”

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to premiere on May 2, 2025. In the meantime, you can watch Tenoch Huerta’s portrayal of Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever available to stream on Disney+.
