Black Panther star Letitia Wright recently teased her upcoming return as Shuri in future MCU projects as fans are waiting for her next appearance.
Since the release of Wakanda Forever in 2022, Wright has not made another appearance in the MCU and Marvel Studios remains mum on their plans surrounding the future of the Black Panther series and its characters.
There are speculations that Shuri might be involved in the upcoming Avengers movies since she is now considered to be a key player in the MCU following her taking of the mantle of Black Panther.
Letitia Wright Addresses Her MCU Return
In her recent guest appearance on The View, Wright was asked about her potential return as Shuri in the upcoming Avengers movies.
While she played coy with her response, she expressed her interest to continue playing the fan-favorite character.
"Let's just say... I would like to continue with Shuri. She's one of my favorite characters, such a blessing, honestly, I kid you not. I'm so grateful for her," the actress said.
When asked about an update on Black Panther 3, Wright simply responded, "There's a lot coming up."
As expected, the actress was careful with her response which is why she didn't give away too many details about the future of her character in the MCU and the plans for the Black Panther series.
At the very least, we have an assurance coming from Wright herself that we will be seeing more of Shuri in the MCU and Marvel Studios is planning to tell more stories about Wakanda in a potential third movie.
So far, the only Black Panther-related project that is currently in the works is the animated series Eyes of Wakanda, which is slated to premiere later this year.
For now, let's wait for news and updates regarding the future of Shuri in the MCU. Perhaps we will get more details during Marvel Studios' Hall H SDCC presentation next month.
